Ahmed Rasel, born in 1988, is a documentary Photographer based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. He completed MA in Bengali Literature from Dhaka University in 2013. He started photography in November 2012 after completing Basic Photography Course from DUPS. In 2014 he completed Mentorship Program under the supervision of Saiful Huq Omi and he also successfully completed One Year Diploma Program on Professional Photography at Counter Foto, Department of Photography. He is currently working on his own long-term documentary project called “Memories of water”.
Ahmed Rasels’ photographs got published in Trouw, Private Magazine, F-stop magazine, The Daily Independent and The Daily Orthonity Protidin among others. His work has been presented in Just Another Photo Festival Delhi and exhibited in several galleries of Bangladesh and has achieved several awards.
